Deans marsh road
Location: Surf Coast, VIC
Stone: Limestone supplied by RMS Traders
Scope: ~215m² of random rubble walling
Our Deans Marsh Road project features approximately 215m² of hand-laid random rubble walling, using a beautiful limestone supplied by RMS Traders. This architectural home incorporates a dramatic 15-metre blade wall spanning two floors, a double-sided fireplace, and both internal and external feature walls — all showcasing the strong presence of natural stone.
We began work on site in late October 2024, just as spring arrived on the Surf Coast. After a cold (but mercifully dry) winter down in Wye River, the shift in season brought us ideal conditions for getting stuck into the work.
At the time of writing, we’re approaching the final stages of the build after about three and a half months on site — wrapping up with just a few finishing touches to go.
A huge thanks to the team for their commitment to keeping the project running smoothly and to a high standard. Special mention to Jack for holding it down solo during a particularly busy stretch leading into the summer break.
I’ll definitely miss the early morning trots along the ocean and a refreshing dip before work — but we’re also looking forward to being closer to home with upcoming projects kicking off in Ceres, Manifold Heights, and Batesford.
